 Illumination Collection
Chapter 1: Held Light

Illumination is a body of work exploring the quiet emergence of light through layered atmospheres. The series began in the shadow and now the light emerges into Chapter 1, Held Light.

Held Light symbolizes the beginning of the compression; light is present, but not fully expanded. It is a metaphor for where we all find ourselves at sometimes in our life, and how it feels right now in the world. That compression is uncomfortable, but always necessary. This stage is not permanent, but rather a beginning. The light is gathering strength, and in time, it will open and expand, just as we do.

I always begin my process with small studies and evolve from there. These help begin and shape the entire process of the collection. Stay signed up for my newsletter for when the small studies release when the entire Illumination collection is complete, around fall 2026.
